汉译英常见错误

原文：这个地区因冬季气候十分温和而著名。
错译：The area is famous for its very mild winter weather.

原文：她有一张与众不同的面孔。
错译：She has a face with a lot of characters.

原文：如果我是你的话，我一定去申请这个职位。我认为你大有希望。
错译：I should apply for the post if I were you, I think you stand a good opportunity.

原文：他们顾不上考虑时间或任何其他因素就开始寻找水下洞穴。
错译：Heedless of time or any other consideration, they began to search the underwater hole.

原文：我们公司与海外客户的生意往来很多。
错译：Our firm does a lot of businesses with overseas customers.

原文：她估计这条河从一边到另一边大约有50米长。
错译：She estimated the length from side to side of this river to be 50 metres.

原文：公共开支必须控制在合理的范围内。
错译：Public spending must be kept within reasonable bound.

原文：她的领导才能是保守党最宝贵的财富。
错译：Her leadership qualities were the greatest wealth of the Conservative Party.

原文：今年华盛顿的樱花开得很早。
错译：The cherry bloom came out early in Washington this year.

原文：工作人员正紧张忙乱地为峰会做最后准备。
错译：The staff is working frantically on final arrangement for the summit.

原文：中国不同任何大国结盟。
错译：China will not enter into ally with any big power.

原文：我完全不同意她的意见，但是我赞赏她恪守原则。
错译：I don't agree with her completely, but I admire her for sticking to her principles.
