全国绿化委员会办公室发布的公报显示，2023年全国完成造林399.8万公顷、种草改良437.9万公顷、治理沙化石漠化土地190.5万公顷，国土绿化工作取得新成果。
China stepped up its land greening efforts last year with 3.998 million hectares of forest planted, according to a report of the National Greening Commission. In 2023, the country also restored 4.379 million hectares of degraded grassland and treated 1.905 million hectares of sandy and stony land.
