5月26日，广佛南环、佛莞城际铁路正式投入运营。这两条新开的城际铁路与已开通的佛肇城际、莞惠城际相连，在粤港澳大湾区形成了一条呈东西走向、全长258公里的交通大动脉。
Intercity railways from Guangzhou to Foshan and from Foshan to Dongguan were officially put into operation on May 26. The two newly opened intercity railways are connected with the already opened ones from Foshan to Zhaoqing and from Dongguan to Huizhou, forming a 258-kilometer railway line from east to west in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
