Stakeholder capitalism

The idea that businesses should serve a wider community than just their shareholders, including their workers, suppliers and society at large. Proponents argue that this is better for the economy in the long run than a focus on short-term profit; indeed, they believe that companies that ignore their other stakeholders will eventually run into trouble.
