1.mountain和hill没有绝对的区别，一二千英尺高的小山，在本地也许叫做mountain，在山多的地方也许把近一万英尺的高山叫做hill。

2....Mountains前面有the，如the Himalaya Mountains和the Rocky Mountains。

3.the mountains前面通常用in。例如：How did you enjoy your holiday in the mountains? 有时用into。例如：There is nothing I like better than to go up into the mountains and camp out for a few days.
