morning

1.复数形式mornings用作副词是美国用法，作“在每天上午”解。例如：She plays the piano mornings.

2.at morning作“在清晨”解，现在不普通。有时用at early morning。

3.morning通常到中午为止，但good morning到下午1点钟还有人在说。

4.this morning，yesterday morning和tomorrow morning都可以用作状语短语，前面不可加上on，如下面三句里都没有on：

• I wrote to him this morning.
• I wrote to him yesterday morning.
• I shall write to him tomorrow morning.

5.注意morning call指“下午（不是上午）的访问”，morning performance指“下午（不是上午）的演出”（就是matinée）。
