hint

1.hint（动词）后面通常接at，偶尔接of。例如：The letter hints at（偶尔of）his anxiety to do well.

2.hint（动词）后面有时接以that引导的从句。例如：He hinted that he was not interested.

3.hint（名词）后面有时接以that引导的从句。例如：You had better give her a hint that she would do better to call again.
