1.说“恨”把hate用作名词现在很不普通，该用hatred。但说“被恨的事物”该用hate，不可用hatred。例如：His chief hates are gambling and lying.

2.hatred是抽象名词，但前面往往有a。例如：He soon conceived a violent hatred of（或for）exploitation. 偶尔用复数形式，如sectarian hatreds。
