furnish（供给）原来不可有双宾语，如原来可以说We furnish them with food和We furnish food to them（第一句比第二句普通），但不可说We furnish them food。但近年来furnish后面接双宾语很普通，如They will furnish you the necessary materials和The essay has furnished us food for thought。
