1.in...fashion里通常没有a（或an），如in English fashion, in roundabout fashion和in thorough fashion。用a也可以，但不很普通。

2.people of fashion, man of fashion等表达方式是“上流社会的人”，就是“风云人物”，并不指衣服或装饰的时髦。注意fashion前面没有the。

3.in fashion和in the fashion相同，作“合乎时尚的”解。out of fashion和out of the fashion相同，作“不合乎时尚的”解。

4.下面两句意思略有不同。
