farther

farther和further不同，下面几点该注意：

（1）farther不及further普通，further delay, further details, a further search, something further to say等表达方式里现在几乎总是用further而不用farther。

（2）farther只在说到“距离”的时候用得普通些，如the farther side of the river比the further side of the river普通。

（3）farther用作动词极不普通。
