1.clothes是复数形式，没有单数形式。统指衣服，不指一件衣服。可以说many clothes, these clothes和those clothes。但不可说three clothes等。现在很少说much clothes。
2.clothes和clothing都统指衣服，但clothing是单数形式，没有复数形式。注意a suit of clothes（一套衣服，包括上衣、背心和裤子）不可改作a suit of clothing, an article of clothing（一件衣服）不可改作an article of clothes。
