clothe
1.clothe的过去式和过去分词通常是clothed。但在譬喻里往往用clad。例如：The hill is clad with verdure.
2.clothe用作“穿衣在…的身上”解现在不很普通，如Clothe yourself quickly和He used to clothe himself in blue in winter里的clothe不及dress通俗。但说“供给衣服与…”（就是“衣我食我”的“衣”的意思）用clothe很普通。例如：He had to clothe his wife and family.
