between
1.可以说between two persons，也可以说between one person and another，但不可说between each person或between every person。理由是很明显的，不过这种错误很多。between this person or that当然也不对，该说between this person and that。
2.一般说来，between用在两个人或物前面，不用在三个或三个以上人或物前面。但假使说到三个或三个以上人或物中间的每两个的关系，就可以用between。例如：
The speaker referred to the relations between the three countries.
Switzerland lies between France, Germany, Austria, and Italy.
3.in between里的in是副词，between有时是副词，有时是介词。如She visited them in between（在中间的时间里）和She visited them in between her maternal duties（在她尽母亲责任［照顾子女］的闲暇时间里）。
