Richard was not too smart, so everyone played tricks on him. One dark night, some of the boys asked him to climb up on the beam of their flashlight.

Richard thought about it for a while. Then he said, “You think that I am stupid; but I am not. If I climb that beam, you will let me reach the top of it and then you will switch the light off and I will fall down.”
