family、home与house这些名词都有“家”之意。
family : 指构成一个家庭的全体成员，与家里的房子无关。
- I come from a large family - I have three brothers and two sisters.
我来自一个大家庭，有三个兄弟，两个姐妹。 - He doesn't have any family.
他没有任何亲人。
home : 侧重人们生长或长期居住或组织家庭的地方或房子，含感情色彩。
- The senator has two homes - an apartment in Washington and a house in Colorado.
这位参议员有两个家——一个是位于华盛顿的公寓，另一个是科罗拉多的家。 - He was living on the streets for three months, and his home was a cardboard box.
他在大街上住了3个月了，他的家就是一个纸板箱。
house : 指家里人居住的房屋，不带感情色彩。
