深入解读
Coherent 一词源自拉丁语 cohaerere (连贯、一致)的过去分词 cohaerentem ,16世纪50年代经法语 cohérent 进入英语后,相应也是用来表示“一致的、连贯的、协调的”,常意味着构成一个和谐统一的整体,比如:
- 该新成立的政党缺乏一致的政治目标。
The nascent party lacks coherent political goals. - 他未能制定出一条连贯的策略来实现服务的现代化。
He has failed to work out a coherent strategy for modernising the service.
从这个概念出发,到了16世纪70年代后, coherent 常用来喻指话语、观点、思想等“条理清楚的、明白易懂的、前后一致的”,强调逻辑清晰、组织良好,以自然或合理的方式连接、接续或整合,从而易于理解和说明,比如:
