A famous scientist was on his way to yet another lecture when his chauffeur offered an idea. “Hey, boss, I’ve heard your speech so many times, I bet I could deliver it and give you the night off.”
一位著名科学家在去另一次演讲的路上，他的司机给他出主意说：“嘿，头儿，我已经对你的演讲听了好多遍了，我敢打赌我也能演讲一次，让你放一晚上的假。”
“Sounds great,” the scientist said.
“听起来很不错。”科学家说。
When they got to the auditorium, the scientist put on the chauffeur’s hat and settled into the back now.
当他们到达礼堂时，科学家戴上司机的帽子，坐到了后排。
The chauffeur walked to the lectern and delivered the speech. Afterward he asked if there were any questions.
司机走到讲台上，发表了一次演讲。之后，他问是否有什么问题。
“Yes,” said one professor. Then he launched into a highly technical question.
“是的，”其中一位教授说。随后，他提了一个技术难度很高的问题。
The chauffeur was panic-stricken for a moment but quickly recovered. “That’s an easy one,” he replied. “So easy, I’m going to let my chauffeur answer it.”
司机紧张了一会儿，马上反应过来说：“这个问题很简单，非常简单。我让司机来回答。”
