英译汉常见错误 | sands 时刻，寿命

［例句］　The sands are running out.
［误译］　沙堆正在崩溃。
［原意］　剩下的时间不多了。
［说明］　sand的复数sands有“时刻”、“寿命”之意。本例与There is not much time left同义。
