英译汉常见错误 | picture [portrait] 收藏的画

［例句］　This is a picture [portrait] of Jeremy's.
［误译］　这是杰里米的肖像。
［原意］　这是杰里米收藏的画。
［说明］　This is a picture [portrait] of Jeremy's含双重所有格，意指某人收藏的画。取消's所有格而只用of所有格，即This is a picture [portrait] of Jeremy才是“这是杰里米的肖像”。
