英译汉常见错误 | of 其后物品（pencils）的数量、分量

［例句］　Garett bought a case of pencils for Anne.
［误译］　加雷特为安妮买了一个铅笔盒。
［原意］　加雷特为安妮买了一盒铅笔。
［说明］　本例的of表示其后物品（pencils）的数量、分量，而不是指其前面容器（case）、单位的数量、分量。如a glass of wine是“一杯酒”，而不是“一个酒杯”； a pound of butter 是一磅奶油。如果上例改成Garett bought a pencil case for Anne那就是“加雷特为安妮买了一个铅笔盒”。
