英译汉常见错误 | island half 半页广告

［例句］　I want to sell my flat and put an island half in the magazine.
［误译］　我想卖掉我的房子在一个半岛办杂志。
［原意］　我想卖掉我的房子，因此要在杂志上登半页广告。
［说明］　island half（复合名词）意思不是“半岛”而是“半页广告”，peninsula, byland和biland才是“半岛”。
