深入解读
Discursive 一词与常见单词 discourse （论文、演讲；语篇、话语；谈话、交谈）同源，都源自于拉丁语 discursus （到处乱跑；会话）。
其中 discursive 于16世纪末经法语 discursif 进入英语，即用来表示“离题的、散漫的、东拉西扯的、不着边际的”，常作正式用语使用，侧重指口语或书面表达的内容与主题只有轻微的联系，并常常从一个主题离题到另一个主题，比如：

他东拉西扯的演讲没有在我的头脑中留下什么印象。
His discursive speech made no real dent in my mind.
这个概念往好了说，也可以用 discursive 表示“发散性的”，也就是口语或书面表达流畅且内容广泛，而非公式化的或缩简的，比如：
- 对该主题的更生动、更坦率、更发散性的论述
a livelier, more candid and more discursive treatment of the subject
除此之外，在语法中 discursive 还被用来表示“话语的、话语模式的”，即与 discourse 或其模式相关的。
