Tangible 是一个与小站（微信公众号：田间小站）去年推送过的 eligible 有着相同结尾的单词。
该词源自拉丁语 tangere （触摸），16世纪80年代经法语 tangible 或者直接由晚期拉丁语 tangibilis （可被触摸的）进入英语后，即用来表示物体、关系等“可触摸的、可触知的、可感知的”，比如：
- 劳资双方之间的紧张关系几乎让人都感觉得出来。

可触摸必然有形，因此到了17世纪10年代后， tangible 便开始发展出现在的主要含义指“有形的、有实体的”。该义常用在财务领域搭配表示有形资产（tangible assets），诸如房屋建筑、机械设备、原料耗材等实物形态的资产。
与之对应的则是无形资产（intangible assets），包括商誉（goodwill）、专利权、专营权等非实物形态的资产。
