深入解读
Abscond 一词由前缀 abs- （离开）+词根 cond （藏）构成，16世纪60年代经法语 abscondre （隐藏）或者直接由拉丁语 abscondere （隐藏、使看不见）进入英语，即用来表示“逃走、逃遁、逃脱、溜掉”，主要指为了躲避罪责、法律制裁等而突然、匆忙且秘密地逃离某处，既包括被拘留或监管的人逃跑，也可以指保释的人没有在指定的时间接受羁押，常用搭配 abscond from sth ，比如：
- 那个适应力强的女孩和男友从寄宿学校逃走了。
The resilient girl absconded from boarding school with her boyfriend. - 那个所谓的大师被传唤于第二天出庭，可是他逃跑了。
The so-called guru was ordered to appear the following day, but absconded.
在这个概念下，现在通常更多的是用其特指携款“潜逃”，也就是在盗窃、诈骗等非法携带他人财物的情况下匆忙且秘密地离开，以避免被发现或被捕，常用搭配 abscond with sth ，比如：
