Heed 是一个在拼写上与 head 形近，又在发音上听上去很容易与 he'd 混淆的单词。
该词源自与古高地德语 huota （警卫）相近的古英语 hēdan （观察、注意、留心、保护、负责），主要用来表示“留心、注意、听从”，常作正式用语使用，主要指细心关注别人的建议、意见、警告等，并按照他们说的去做，比如：
- 兼听则明，偏信则暗。

此外， heed 也可以用作名词使用，常用习语搭配 give/pay heed (to sb/sth) 或 take heed (of sb/sth) 作正式用语相应表示“留心、注意、听从”某人或某物，比如：
