深入解读
Swarm 一词比较好记，就是在熟词 warm 的前面加个 s 。其基本含义是作名词表示“一大群、一大窝”蜜蜂、蝗虫、苍蝇等昆虫，多用来指像离巢的蜂群那样一起移动的一大群昆虫，比如：
- 野山羊在下面陡峭的山坡上咩咩地轻声叫着。但在远处，有一只死羊身上爬满了一群群的苍蝇。
From the steep slope below, the wild goats bleated faintly. But in the distance, there was a dead sheep covered with swarms of flies.
将这个概念用在人身上，则表示蜂拥的“一大群”人，强调人数众多、杂乱无章、不停移动，比如：
- 我们在尽力搞清楚为什么一大群人围住了这个酒店。
We're trying to fathom out why a swarm of people encircled the hotel.
当用作动词时， swarm 自然指蜜蜂等昆虫“成群结队地移动、飞来飞去”或形容人、动物等“蜂拥、涌动”，比如：
